AirXpress Group provided a test of the Fire Stair Pressurisation System at 201 Elizabeth Street.
Using smoke machines is an effective method to test the dissipation and flow of smoke during a simulated fire to examine the effectiveness of the current fire stair pressurisation system.
We identified some minor issues although the client was able to sort out them. Also, they comply with one of the vital components of a building’s fire safety infrastructure.
Having the equipment operating as intended translates into preventing smoke leaking past closed doors into stairs by injecting clean air into the stair enclosure. In other words, the pressure in the stair is greater than in the adjacent fire compartment.
